SUTD-MIT Graduate Fellows Program

This special two-year program includes one year plus at MIT and two semesters at the Singapore University of Technology and Design in Singapore, OR an optional one-year version with 6 months in Singapore. This unique program is focused on bringing top-flight postdoctoral associates or graduate students to Singapore to participate in co-teaching and research activities.
The Fellow will be expected to devote 50% of his or her time at both MIT and SUTD conducting collaborative research and 50% of his or her time in co-teaching activities.
Each MIT-Singapore Graduate Fellow will spend his or her initial residency at MIT, engaging in the following activities:
- Serving one semester as a Teaching Assistant in an undergraduate subject related to the Undergraduate Course that the MIT-Singapore Teaching Fellow is likely to teach at SUTD; and
- Conducting research.
Each MIT-Singapore Graduate Fellow will also spend either six or nine months at SUTD during the term of his/her fellowship, engaging in all of the following activities:
- Serving as a Teaching Assistant for an undergraduate course;
- Mentoring SUTD students on projects and other activities as may be designated by SUTD; and
- Conducting collaborative research with SU faculty and students at the SUTD International Design Center.
