MIT welcomes international delegations and visitors seeking meaningful dialogue and academic or other connections/collaborations with members of the MIT community. Visitors may include government officials, university leaders, and distinguished professionals in various fields, or those partaking in fellowships or special programs sponsored by local consulates, the US State Department, or other official entities.
Visits submitted on this request page will be managed through Office of the Associate Provost for International Activities (OAPIA) in consulation with the Office of Institute Events. To expedite the process, we ask that you complete the official request form at least three weeks prior to your visit. You may email specific questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Members of the MIT community (including students, departments, labs, and centers) hosting international visitors are invited to visit the Resources page for advice on matters of protocol, logistics, and security, as well as contact us directly.
- this form is for official visits only—prospective students and those seeking to request private group tours should visit the Office of Admissions.
- there are certain periods during the year when the availability of MIT’s faculty and staff members is limited due to the academic schedule. For this reason, it is highly unlikely that we will be able to accommodate professional group visits on legal US and Massachusetts holidays and from mid-May to the end of August or during the last few weeks of December.
