Call for Proposal: MIT Sloan Latin America Office 2021-2022

The MIT Sloan Latin America Office (MSLAO) is excited to announce the call for seed fund proposals for the 2021-2022 academic year. The main goal of the MSLAO is to promote long- term collaboration between MIT and Latin America. The maximum amount of funding per project is $25,000 and we plan on distributing up to five awards. In the past, awards have ranged from $10,000 to $25,000. Seed funds can be used exclusively for projects having to do with research on or in Latin America or in collaboration with a university/institution in Latin America.

The MSLAO places a priority on projects that will lead to innovative research and have the potential to obtain additional government, foundation, or private funding. Awardees will be asked to present a talk on their project to a Latin American audience inclusive of the MIT Clubs in the region and a final report.

Qualifications:
Applicants must be faculty or full-time researchers at MIT. We especially encourage early career faculty/researchers to apply.
Applications will be accepted until October 29, 2021, and decisions will be made December 6, 2021.
