Call for proposal: Science of Sustainable Cities

The National Research Foundation (NRF) in Singapore has launched a call for proposal on “Science of Sustainable Cities”. The deadline for the White paper submission is 31 March 2021, 11.59 pm (Singapore Standard Time).

The Grant Call Application Guide and White paper Template are found here.  Detailed information on the grant call, including the thematic scope and application and submission processes, are found in the Application Guide.  White papers must be prepared using the template provided and submitted to NRF via email through the Host Institution’s Office of Research (ORE) or equivalent.

If you’ll be submitting a White paper, you’ll need to first send your White paper to your IRG’s Lead PI (or MIT Department Head if you’re not affiliated with a SMART IRG), for the Technical and Ethical Review.  A review is also necessary for SMART PIs who are listed on a proposal where SMART is not the Host Institution.

By Monday, 12 March 2021, 12pm (Singapore Time), email Regina Chan Siak Choo your White paper, complete with:
–          The Declaration by Grant Applicants;
–          Second Lead PI’s Affiliated Institution Endorsement;
–          An Email from your IRG’s Lead PI (or MIT Department Head if you’re not affiliated with a SMART IRG), indicating that they’ve done the Technical and Ethical Review and support your submission; so we can arrange for the Final Review by the SMART Headquarters, and the Host Institutional endorsement, if your proposal is accepted for our submission to NRF.

A reminder that MIT PIs’ proposals need to ultimately be routed through the MIT PI’s Home Department for MIT RAS’ review and endorsement.
