Earlier this year, the MIT Portugal Program held the first reunion of its Innovation Workshop (IW), bringing together five cohorts of students who participated in the workshop from 2016 to 2024. The event took place in Lisbon, at the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD). This first reunion provided attendees with a valuable opportunity to reconnect, share their progress and achievements, and explore potential collaborations.
“I believe this reunion was important to uplift the sense of belonging within the community, particularly between the different classes of the program”, said one participant. “Networking and brainstorming are vital for the community’s knowledge exchange and future impact.”
MIT Portugal Innovation Workshop is a hands-on program for students from Portugal designed to expose participants to critical elements of venture creation and the potential commercialization of high-impact research and technologies. The workshop takes place at MIT. The 2025 edition of the MIT Portugal Innovation Workshop will take place on June 9-13.
