President of Cabo Verde will talk about e-governance at MIT

The President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, His Excellency Mr. José Maria Neves, will visit MIT on April 4th, 2023. His visit will take place within the framework of the second annual webinar series focusing on various aspects of sustainable development in Africa, organized by the Center for International Studies (CIS) and the MIT Africa Program in partnership with TRUE Africa University (TAU). These series are known as TAU x MIT.

Starting on March 23, 2023 for seven weeks, TAU founder, MIT alumnus, and CIS research affiliate Claude Grunitzky will interview the thinkers, shapers, and doers who he sees as the inventors of the future of Africa. As part of this series, President Neves will participate in a live conversation in a fireside chat type format on April 4th, 2023 at 12:00pm.

This event will be hybrid, having both a live audience and online participants, and open and free to the public. The topic will be e-governance, which is an area of great expertise for President Neves and a topic of interest to the MIT community.
