Program Spotlight

Global MIT At-Risk Fellows (GMAF)

This program gives international scholars the opportunity to temporarily engage with the MIT community on campus, with the aim to foster innovation around the world through the fellows’ academic contributions and leadership. The GMAF pilot program, which initially focused on Ukrainian faculty, is expanding to bring Palestinian scholars to MIT.

Global
LCAU is a research center at MIT focused on the design and planning of complex metropolitan environments. Through research projects, academic courses, exhibitions, and workshops, the Center seeks to advance interdisciplinary research on urbanism, connecting MIT with cities around the world. It is home to 40+ affiliated faculty from architecture, urban planning, big data and artificial intelligence, real estate, transportation, and beyond.
OIS supports a range of Institute-wide initiatives at MIT that sit at the intersection of research, education, industry engagement, and entrepreneurship. Working across schools, labs, and external partners, OIS helps coordinate strategic efforts focused on areas such as health and life sciences, quantum, advanced manufacturing, generative AI, and the human dimensions of technology. OIS works to connect communities across MIT, support collaboration around shared priorities, and help new ideas, programs, and partnerships.
